For over five decades, Gabriele Stötzer has been exploring themes such as justice, self-determination, and gender. Her own body often plays a central role in this work—not as an object, but as a site of resistance and feminist self-assertion.

Starting in June 2026, the Gropius Bau will present “Be There and Don’t Stay Silent,” the artist’s largest institutional solo exhibition to date.
