Coq au Vin Children's and Family Theater

To mix the dough, they skillfully weave acrobatic feats with dance choreography and megalomaniacally showcase their extraordinary culinary skills.

The children energetically feed apples into the food processor, which then processes them and mixes them into the batter. Hovering over the successful cooking is the irony of failure, which makes the play hilarious.

Despite many difficulties, the clown chefs remain undeterred, and together with the children, they celebrate baking and cooking as the ultimate pleasure in a completely natural way. By the end, the wave of enthusiasm for cooking reaches such a fever pitch that the audience loudly demands an encore.

  • Children’s theater program for ages 3–10—though the Coq Au Vin Children’s Theater recommends this play for ages 3 to 93
  • Running time: approx. 50 min

With this play, Coq Au Vin won first prize at the 15th Children’s Theater Festival in Amberg.
