Instead of quiet tears during the shiva, there are sharp verbal sparring matches, offbeat humor, and a mother who, even from the afterlife, seems unwilling to let up when it comes to the happiness of her loved ones. Razya is horrified that her son has separated from his wife!
So she embarks on one last mission and, without further ado, takes her taciturn but disarmingly dry husband, Yitzchak, on a whirlwind trip to the big city. There, worlds collide: Amid hipster cafés, open relationships, and all the things you’re supposedly supposed to know, two “old-school” people struggle to navigate a present that’s as foreign to them as its buzzwords.
