When the powder magazine exploded in 1813, the entire town of Spandau was thrown into a state of panic. The Königin bastion of the citadel was severely damaged and was rebuilt starting in 1821. This event, but especially the manufacture and loading of projectiles, is the subject of this one-hour lecture held at the historic site.
The exhibition space was built with funding from the local history association and is now open to the public only during lectures or as part of guided tours.
In cooperation with the Spandau Local History Association 1954 e. V., the tour will be led by Manfred Schulze, Hans Dambietz, or Sebastian Gramigna.
