Under the title “WASSE SPORT GRÜNAU,” the museum traces the history of the regatta grounds and their boathouses, illustrates the evolution of boatbuilding, and showcases the diverse club scene.

To this day, water sports remain inextricably linked to the history of Grünau. In 1868, Berlin’s first sailing regatta took place here, and rowing clubs built their elegant boathouses along the Dahme River.

Boats, tools, photographs, and historical documents form the basis of an exhibition that offers insights into the eventful history of clubs, technical

development, and political upheavals.
