This interactive tour in simple language offers insights into the history of the German Historical Museum’s collection.

Using selected objects from the museum’s predecessor institutions, the tour illustrates how the collection is organized and how it has evolved over time. For example, objects from the Hall of Fame of the Brandenburg-Prussian Army and from the Museum of German History of the GDR are presented.

Guided tours in Simple Language provide an accessible introduction to the exhibition’s themes and showcase exhibits such as two dresses belonging to Queen Luise of Prussia, a Renaissance board game made of amber, or the head of a cutting machine used in mining and tunnel construction.

The tour offers an open exchange that provides space for questions and discussions.

The tour can also be booked by groups and school classes.
