The novel by the acclaimed Israeli author Lizzie Doron, based on the real-life Jewish woman Rivi Greenfeld, is being adapted for the stage for the first time.

Rivi Greenfeld lives in Tel Aviv and is being forced to move out of her beloved apartment—where she has lived since birth—as part of an urban renewal project. What is nothing more than a move for some is tantamount to a catastrophe for the retired former editor.

As the daughter of Holocaust survivors who were unable to speak about the horrors they experienced, she has suffered her entire life from a vague sense of rootlessness and has sought refuge in questionable relationships. The moment she is forced to leave her home, the emotions of two generations come to the surface.

Israeli-born actress Daphna Rosenthal, who is at home in film, television, and on renowned German stages, portrays Rivi Greenfeld, whose spirit of resistance stirs just when everything seems lost to her.
