From 9 October 2026 to 7 February 2027, the Friends of the Willy Brandt House, in collaboration with Sony Germany & Austria, will be exhibiting the photographs from the Sony World Photography Awards at the Willy Brandt House.

For the past twelve years, outstanding photographic works from genres and categories such as Architecture & Design, Creative, Documentary Projects, Environment, Landscape, Portfolio, Portrait, Sport, Still Life and Wildlife & Nature have been presented in the exhibition of the same name.
Alongside the winning images from the Professional and Open competitions, this year’s exhibition will also feature photographs from the new European Student Awards.
Sony World Photography Awards
The Sony World Photography Awards were launched in 2007 by the World Photography Organisation (WPO) with the support of Sony. The WPO promotes professional, amateur and student photography and offers the photography industry a global platform for communication, collaboration and the presentation of current trends in the fields of photojournalism, fine art and commercial photography.

Friends of the Willy Brandt House (FkWBH)
The Friends of the Willy Brandt House was founded in 1996 as a charitable organisation. Since the opening of the
Willy Brandt House, the FkWBH has organised a varied programme of free events at the intersection of culture and politics. In addition to regular exhibitions, it also hosts readings, discussions and film evenings for a wide audience.
