We shed light on the displacement and expulsion of around 14 million Germans from the eastern Reich and eastern European settlement areas. They had to leave their homes under extreme conditions. We take you by phone to the permanent exhibition and describe selected objects that illustrate the fates of individuals and families. It is about experiences of displacement and expulsion and the path into an uncertain future.
