It's hard to say whether Karl Popper was right when he stated, "World history has no meaning." But Rainer Ehrt demonstrates, in an equally insightful and entertaining way, that engaging with history does indeed have meaning. His graphic novel, "Prussia's Luise," is being released to coincide with the 250th anniversary of the Prussian queen's birth on March 10, 2026.

Ehrt is an artist, author, and award-winning cartoonist who has been captivated by Prussia for decades. Born in 1960 in Elbingerode in the Harz Mountains, Prussian history and culture fascinated him from childhood. His extensive body of work on Prussia, which he continues to develop tirelessly, includes numerous books, large-format paintings, drawings, and sculptures. Over the years, Ehrt has become a chronicler of Prussia. Ehrt's illustrations are featured in the exhibition.
