On Saturday, 13 September 2025, the free ‘In Conversation’ series will kick off the autumn season at the Hamburger Bahnhof.
In the monthly series ‘In Conversation,’ artists discuss their work. Since February 2024, the Hamburger Bahnhof has been bringing international artists to Berlin and inviting them to talk with the public.
Established artists who are represented in the National Gallery's collection or have exhibited at the museum talk about their artistic careers or the Berlin art scene in an international context.
Previous guests have included Yael Bartana, Mark Bradford, Tania Bruguera, David Claerbout, Thomas Demand, Elmgreen& Dragset, Cao Fei, Katharina Grosse, Anawana Haloba, Anne Imhof, Annette Messager, Ersan Mondtag, Tomás Saraceno, Zineb Sedira, Tino Sehgal and Rachel Whiteread.
Petrit Halilaj will talk to curator Catherine Nichols on the occasion of his exhibition opening during Berlin Art Week. Installation artist Haegue Yang will continue the series of talks in October, and in November, the Hamburger Bahnhof, together with Deutsche Bank and the American Academy in Berlin, has invited photographer Jeff Wall.
