Bellboy Berlin

The 1920s in Berlin Mitte

If you were to conjure up a dandy from the Golden Twenties and transport him to Bellboy Berlin, he would probably not even notice the change of scenery. The interior, the menu and the award-winning cocktail creations at this particularly elegant venue in Berlin-Mitte keep alive the memory of turn-of-the-century Europe.

A high-end entertainment venue for adults

The moment you step through the door, it becomes clear that Bellboy isone of the most extravagant bars in the city. In the former premises of the Mark Brandenburg restaurant at the Hilton on Gendarmenmarkt, a unique atmosphere awaits you, somewhere between The Great Gatsby, a theatre set and outstanding cocktail artistry. Guests in elegant attire relax on opulent sofas and enjoy drinks that are certainly not served in conventional cocktail glasses. No, here you drink from bathtubs, skulls and porcelain princess dresses.

Cocktails, oysters and caviar beneath wood-panelled ceilings

The concept of the Bellboy Bar originates from Tel Aviv, where the original haslong enjoyedcult status in the nightlife scene . In Berlin too, the owners offer their guests an imaginative experience bordering on the surreal, whilst maintaining the quality of a luxury restaurant. Alongside the outstanding mixology behind the bar, the kitchen also promises unique international expertise. The menu ranges from classics such as oysters and caviar to sea bass with kimchi tartare and Buddha-shaped panna cotta.

Our tips

  • At the Bellboy, the dress code is also inspired by the Golden Twenties. The more elegant, the better – feel free to dig your evening gown and tuxedo out of the wardrobe for your visit.
  • The age limit at Bellboy Berlin is unusually high: here, the fun only really starts for those over 25, with cocktails and oysters.
  • Go on a discovery tour: behind a mirrored wall lies a second bar, The Butler. The mysterious Pink Room at the back looks as though it has stepped straight out of a Wes Anderson film.
