The Magical History Tour
The native home of the cineastes: the Arsenal is the rich in tradition art-house cinema of the friends of the Kinemathek.
Since 2000 the cinema Arsenal is located in the Sony Centre. Here, experimental video art, old films and films from all parts of the world are shown, usually in original un-dubbed version.
Every year a new Magical History Tour is shown: time after time a fascinating passage through the history of film, from silent cinema until today, within 356 films. During the Berlinale, forum films run here.
The Arsenal is moving: until December 2025, it will be showing its programme at various locations in collaboration with numerous cultural organisations. From 2026, it will move to the silent green Kulturquatier.
