Useful information for your trip to Berlin

Both Schönefeld and Tegel are large airports which see their fair share of international and domestic air traffic.

Schönefeld tends to be the hub for most of the familiar lower-cost carriers and Tegel for flagship airlines. Tegel is just 8 km from central Berlin, Schönefeld not much further at 18 km. Both have bus shuttle services, and Schönefeld is connected with a handy S-Bahn link to get you into the city quickly. However you travel, it will take no longer than about 35 minutes, or as little as 15 on the train, to get from the airport to central destinations such as Hauptbahnhof which is Berlin's main rail station.
