49h ICC Berlin Houserules

important information about your visit

H O U S E R U L E S

Dear Guests of the 49h ICC Event,
To ensure your comfort at all times within the building and its accessible rooms, everyone must behave so that no one is harmed, endangered, or — beyond what is unavoidable — hindered or disturbed.
The International Congress Centrum (ICC) Berlin is a legally protected listed monument. All facilities must be used with care. A planning procedure regarding the future design of the ICC is currently underway.
The State of Berlin owns the property; management of the building has been entrusted to Messe Berlin GmbH, Messedamm 22, 14055 Berlin.
From 11 September to 14 September 2025, the building is available for use by the Organizer, visitBerlin (hereinafter “Organizer”).
Accordingly, the following house rules apply to the building complex, including the paved forecourt (hereinafter “premises”):

1.    Right of Access
a.    Admission to the event may be restricted, both for public and private sessions, by the Organizer.
b.    The Organizer exercises domiciliary rights throughout the premises, personally or through authorized companies and personnel. Violations may result in removal or ban.
c.    Only persons admitted by the Organizer with a valid ticket for the day and time slot may enter the 49h ICC event, and only those with program tickets may enter the respective workshop. Guests must present a photo ID or equivalent upon entry.
d.    Visiting time is set at 90 minutes; maximum stay is 210 minutes (3.5 hours). This ensures as many guests as possible can visit and capacity limits are maintained.
e.    Children and adolescents up to their 14th birthday must be accompanied by a guardian or adult chaperone. Deviations will be announced separately. The Youth Protection Act applies.
f.    Persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be refused entry and must leave immediately. Denied visitors have no claim to ticket-related expense reimbursement.
g.    Visitors may only enter during opening hours via designated entrances and must leave immediately at closing time.
h.    For safety reasons, closure and evacuation may be ordered. All persons must comply and evacuate immediately when instructed.

2.    General Prohibitions
a.    Commercial photography, filming, audio/video recordings, or drawings are prohibited without prior written permission from the Organizer and the State of Berlin.
b.    Private photo and video recordings are permitted, but the rights of other persons must be respected. The Organizer assumes no liability.
c.    Smoking is prohibited throughout the premises, including the roof terrace.
d.    Use of bicycles, scooters, kickboards, roller skates, inline skates, skateboards, Segways, or similar devices is prohibited indoors.
e.    Distribution of printed material, posting of stickers or posters, and use of advertising media are not permitted without written consent.
f.    Any commercial activity not commissioned by the Organizer or its contractual partners is prohibited.
g.    The Organizer or its agents may inspect vehicles, bags, containers, and clothing upon entry. Refusal may result in removal. Denied visitors have no claim to reimbursement.
h.    No cloakroom or storage is provided. The Organizer is not liable for loss of personal property.
The following items are expressly prohibited:

 – Knives, weapons, or weapon-like dangerous objects
 – Pepper spray, corrosive or staining substances, or containers of flammable or harmful gases (except standard pocket lighters)

3.    Liability
The Organizer is not liable for property or financial damages caused by its employees, agents, or other visitors, unless due to breach of cardinal obligations or warranty of characteristics.

4.    Final Provisions
a.     The Organizer may make special rules in individual cases.
b.    Decisions regarding these house rules are final and not subject to judicial review. The Organizer may amend or supplement these rules at any time.
