Weihnachtsmarkt rund um das Schloss Biesdorf
Unfortunately, the date for this Christmas market in Berlin has not yet been set for 2022.
Christmas around the castle: get in the mood for this Christmas season against a beautiful backdrop. Not only Biesdorf Palace itself is decorated for Christmas, but also numerous Christmas surprises await you in the park. The colourfully decorated Christmas tree is perfect as a photo backdrop and you can warm up with delicious pastries and hot drinks in the castle café.
Stroll past stalls and Christmas huts through the castle park. A festive programme also awaits you on the East Terrace, in the Music Salon and in the Heino-Schmieden Hall. Grab a hot drink at the tea pavilion. You'll find more delicious Christmas treats from the beechwood grill at the Bruzzelstuben at the Plantanenrondell and at the Christmas bakery at the Eiskeller.
Cinema and train for the little ones
There is also plenty on offer for the little ones. The Tierhof team from Alt-Marzahn has brought along some cuddly friends. A small train will also be chugging through the park. In the open workshop in the castle, the little ones and their families can make great presents from 1 to 6 p.m. or visit the Children's Christmas Land in the reading garden. In a mobile cinema on the north side of the castle, young guests can also watch a Christmas film and get in the mood for the Advent season.
Gospel, Brass & More
Among the highlights of the festive musical programme are, of course, the Swingin' Hermlins, who will bring you into the Christmas afternoon on a lively note under the motto "It's Christmas Eve tonight". But festive brass and gospel interludes will also get you in the mood for the festive season.
Christmas activities in the palace
Biesdorf Palace itself can also be visited during the Christmas weekend. A guided tour is planned for Saturday, 11 December from 2 to 3 pm. The meeting point is at the entrance to the castle. The exhibition "gracias Berlin!" is also worth seeing. You will certainly notice that the handicraft activities in the Christmas workshop are also inspired by artist GUSTAVO. Other highlights are the readings by Dr. Oleg Peters and Frank Holzmann from their new book "erdacht & gemacht in Marzahn-Hellersdorf" in the Heino-Schmieden Hall (OG). Here actor and narrator Peter Bause also tells satirical Christmas tales by Jochen Petersdorf.
