A humorous holiday
Since being founded by the great comedian Dieter Hallervorden in 1960, the cabaret performances of the Wühlmäuse Ensemble in Schöneberg have fascinated Berliners and visitors alike. Local artists and cabaret stars from German-speaking countries take the stage here nightly. With funny number revues and shows by solo artists,"Die Stachelschweine" ("The Porcupines") provide an entertaining evening, as does the traditional Distel Theater, which devotes itself to political cabaret that is sure to raise a few eyebrows. Things are funny in Berlin's cabaret institutions, too. BKA Theater on Mehringdamm offers entertaining evenings with chansons, stand-up, and drag shows.
