Open-air cinema Friedrichshain

Cinema under a starry sky

Current cinema hits, classics and cult films, thrillers and comedies are shown on the big screen on the open-air stage in Volkspark Friedrichshain.

Located in the middle of Volkspark Friedrichshain, the open-air cinema has become one of the most popular in Berlin. Here you can enjoy cosy, romantic or exciting hours under the stars. There is plenty of space for all visitors: the open-air cinema has 1,500 seats on comfortable benches as well as tables and a spacious lawn, which is ideal for picnic blankets and can also be used with pushchairs.

You can expect current cinema hits, but also timeless classics, comedies and thrillers, so there is something for everyone. In addition to the regular cinema programme, there are also occasional special events and themed evenings.

The open-air cinema is barrier-free and has had an induction loop for hearing-impaired people since summer 2014. Wheelchair users with a "B" pass buy a regular ticket and their companion receives a free ticket at the box office. The staff will help you find a suitable seat.
