Experience research, discover knowledge
The Humboldt Laboratory is located on the first floor of the Humboldt Forum. It is a space that brings knowledge and science to life for all visitors across approximately 1,000 square metres. Here, research, teaching and outreach go hand in hand, as demonstrated by the regularly changing exhibitions. In addition, events such as lectures and panel discussions, as well as artistic performances, are held on a regular basis.
The exhibition “On Water. WasserWissen” has been on display since October 2025. On display are research projects from the Berlin University Alliance (BUA) Excellence Network, as well as artistic works that approach the theme of water from different perspectives. They all seek solutions for the future and explore the question of what we can learn from water’s adaptability, cycles and connecting power.
