Spandau Christmas market

Christmas Market in Berlin from 23 November to 22 December 2026

Stroll through the cosy cobbled streets, which form one large pedestrian zone, and discover Berlin’s largest traditional Christmas market.

Once again this season, the Spandau Christmas market is delighting Berliners from all over the world. The entire old town of Spandau provides the atmospheric backdrop for this traditional market. Combine your trip to Spandau with a visit to a Christmas concert or an art exhibition. From here, you can reach many attractions by public transport.

A Christmas market for the whole family

The market’s landmarks are the large, magnificent pyramid and the Christmas tree decorated with thousands of lights. In front of Spandau Town Hall stands the nostalgic Ferris wheel once again. There is a children’s carousel for the youngest visitors on both Werner-Salomon-Platz and the market square. Thousands of lights outshine the picturesque huts and create a festive atmosphere. Every year, they are ceremonially switched on to mark the start of the Christmas market.

The whole of the old town is festively decorated and, alongside traditional stallholders, you’ll also find numerous beautiful wooden huts where artists, craftspeople and exhibitors offer their wares from four continents.

And for even more winter fun , there’s a curling rink on Reformationsplatz.

Culinary delights

Of course, there’s no shortage of culinary delights either: alongside traditional Christmas market favourites such as mulled wine, roasted almonds and bratwurst, you can also sample Spandau specialities, exotic dishes and mulled beer.
