‘Jazz goes Synagogue’ is a project by the jazz musician Albrecht Gündel-vom Hofe and the Israeli singer and cantor Aviv Weinberg.

The language of jazz and the specially written arrangements create new listening experiences for traditional and modern liturgical chants as well as contemporary psalm settings, whilst preserving their spiritual character.
The distinctive sound is further enhanced by improvisation and the unusual line-up of the jazz ensemble Sound of Bet Haskala:
Aviv Weinberg (voice), Brigitta Flick (saxophone), Albrecht Gündel-vom Hofe (piano, arr.), Marcel Krömker (double bass).
