Anniversary Gala

The IKARUS Theatre Prize is celebrating its 25th anniversary and, on 13 November, will honour outstanding Berlin theatre productions for young audiences for the 25th time at a grand gala.

The anniversary gala promises an evening of theatre full of surprises – for families, theatre enthusiasts and anyone wishing to experience the extraordinary diversity of Berlin’s children’s and youth theatre. This year, the organisers have even managed to secure Clarissa Corrêa da Silva, a real KIKA presenter, to host the event.

At the anniversary gala, all the nominated plays will be presented live in short scenes. Following this, the outstanding theatre productions for young audiences will be announced in an exciting countdown. An adult jury and a youth jury will each award an IKARUS to one children’s and one youth theatre production respectively. All four prizes are of equal value, each carrying prize money of 2,500 euros.
