A Musical Stroll to Celebrate the Feast Day of the Patron Saint of Music

Music from the Middle Ages, the Renaissance and the Baroque period, accompanied by paintings by Rubens, Botticelli and other masters.

Just as artistic eras evolve, so too do musical styles; there are often striking parallels between the histories of art and music.

With vocals and a range of historical instruments such as the shawm, Baroque oboe, oboe da caccia, one-handed and recorder flutes, fiddle, chamois horns and spinettino, the Duo ChiaroScuro, together with art historian Britta Bode, traces these developments in sound and word.

Music: Duo ChiaroScuro – Gaby Bultmann and Johanne Braun
