Jazz at Alter Schwede
They have known each other for many years through various ensembles and are now performing as a trio for the first time – named after Albert Mangelsdorff’s legendary album!
They perform various compositions by the great German jazz musician and trombonist, who passed away 20 years ago; however, rather than simply copying or covering them, they use them as a starting point for new improvisations, thereby transposing them into a modern, contemporary context.
