Her friends in this show are GEROME CASTELL – a drag queen from the very beginning – and MADLEN – an oriental dancer.
GEROME CASTELL – was born in Berlin and is a leading figure in the city’s transgender scene, having brought together drag kings and queens, as well as all transgender people, at the annual transgender event ‘Wigstöckel’ in 1996. A qualified foreign-language secretary, she began her career as a full-playback performer in the mid-1980s. The underground clubs of the ‘scene’ at that time were her stage. In March 1992, she filmed in Paris for the ZDF feature film *Don’t hate me, because I’m beautiful*, and at the end of that year she founded the modelling troupe *Beauties of Berlin*, which comprised 12 different ‘genders’ and nationalities and performed as a show troupe.
MADLEN, trained in the classical North Indian dance ‘Kathak’ and Oriental dance, is passionately dedicated to modern dance forms such as Oriental Fusion and the popular Bollywood dance. Her dance style is fluid and elegant; she knows how to enchant her audience and transport them to other realms full of moving poetry.
Die Lärche will captivate their audience throughout the evening with witty singing and dance performances in stunning costumes, combined with charming and humorous audience interaction.
