How does music have an immediate effect on the body? Where do you feel the sounds, and how can you translate them into movement? In this workshop, you’ll explore the soundscapes of composer and artist Ryuichi Sakamoto, where the boundaries between hearing, seeing and feeling become blurred. Back in the studio, you’ll build on what you’ve experienced through short choreographed exercises.

After seeing so much in the museum, make the most of the opportunity in the studio to design your own Family Sunday poster featuring your impressions. What is there to see here, and what do you like?

Please note: On 8 November 2026, artist Lucy König will be our guest at the Open Studio for Families instead of the poster workshop.

  • And on 15 November, the Hamburger Bahnhof is celebrating its 30th anniversary with free entry for everyone!
