The philosophical counterpoint to AI euphoria and the obsession with perfection: the philosopher Manuel Scheidegger argues for a rehabilitation of stupidity and human fallibility as human resources that distinguish us from machines – and thereby lead us to true wisdom.

In a captivating talk, Manuel Scheidegger demonstrates, with humour and philosophical depth, why the future of intelligence lies not in perfection, but in accepting our limitations.

He invites the audience to discover why uncertainty is a human strength and why not knowing sparks creative, social intelligence – and sets us apart from AI. Using video clips, internet finds, sound and his infectious enthusiasm for theory, Manuel Scheidegger succeeds in conveying complex ideas in a playful way. The audience is invited to engage with the ideas using digital tools or through spontaneous dialogue, and to continue the discussion. Manuel Scheidegger, born in Bern in 1981, studied philosophy and performing arts. He is the founder of ‘Argumented Reality’, a network that supports organisations undergoing cultural change. In his performances and writings, including for *Die Zeit*, he engages with current debates and brings philosophical ideas to life.
