Once upon a time, there was a mother who had two daughters, and they were both called Marie. One Marie was beautiful and hard-working, but the other Marie was ugly and lazy. That is how the classic fairy tale begins.
The hard-working Marie has a hard time with her sister and stepmother; she has to run the household and is busy all day long, whilst her sister sleeps until midday and is already looking forward to her morning jelly. But then, through a stroke of misfortune, the hard-working Marie meets Frau Holle, and suddenly everything changes – life finally seems to be rewarding Marie.
But will everything end fairly? Will Frau Holle ensure justice is done? And will it actually snow on earth? See for yourselves.
