At this session, participants will be introduced to the genre of silent books – books in which stories are told primarily through illustrations.

Together, we’ll discuss how this genre came about and why such books help to foster imagination, language development, observational skills and emotional intelligence. We’ll also demonstrate simple ways of working with books that contain little or no text.

(in German)

First, we’ll ‘read’ a silent book together as a group. Afterwards, each family can choose several age-appropriate books to explore on their own. To round off the session, participants will create a small creative response, share their impressions and discuss how differently one and the same story can be perceived.

  • The event is aimed at families with children of different ages.

Facilitators: Alexandra Zotova and Natalia Chernikova

In collaboration with *Totschka Children’s and
