The Kunstgewerbemuseum (Museum of Applied Arts) invites you once again to discover the extraordinary work of French fashion designer Madame Grès (1903–1993), one of the most important figures of 20th-century haute couture.


We look forward to welcoming you and your family to the following activities (included in the ticket price).



3–5 pm | Drop-in workshop: ‘Draping’

Try your hand at draping and discover your inner Madame Grès on a mannequin. Create pleats and construct pattern pieces using paper and fabric.


3–5 pm | Meet the creators, lecturers, curators and makers

Students from the School of Culture and Design at HTW Berlin will present their models and share insights into their creative processes.


3– 5 pm | Short guided tours with curators


3–5 pm | Object, space and staging

Designers from Gewerkdesign will present the creative process behind the exhibition design.


5 pm | Performance: From garment to body

In this performance, students will mark the end of the exhibition by undressing the mannequins.
