The Hexenberg Ensemble brings ‘Gevatter Tod’ and ‘Rapunzel’ to the stage with plenty of imagination, humour and enthusiasm – a magical theatre experience for school groups.

The Frog Prince:

Could the light at the bottom of the well be the moon? And SPLASH! There it goes, right into the well: no, not the child, just his favourite toy. These things happen. But who on earth is this strange frog who’s promising to fetch it back up? What on earth is this bloke thinking, following the girl – just because of a childish white lie – right into her cosy home? Sitting at her table, eating from her little plate and even wanting to sleep with her in her little bed? Hello, are you mad?! The father coldly orders his little daughter: ‘You must keep the promises you’ve made!’ Not so in our world! In our world, we don’t kiss frogs just because they claim to be enchanted princes! Because if you say ‘A’, you don’t have to do ANYTHING! Our princess knows how to stand her ground in a bigoted adult world, and the frog ends up exactly where he belongs: on the wall: SPLASH!

Parents bring their children into this fairy tale at their own risk.

Puss in Boots

‘… but the third one only got a hangover.’ Where on earth is the happy ending here? Not a chance! For this is, in fact, the fairy tale about themselves: to create the greatest possible theatre with almost no resources, humble in the author’s sense and selflessly in the service of the audience – this has always been the concept.
