Play the system before it plays you!

Interrobang is known for its participatory formats that playfully explore digital technology in theatre. Now the Berlin-based group is ‘hacking’ the theatre black box to shed light on the darkness of AI black boxes. Together with the audience, Interrobang builds a human-machine AI that can only exist in the theatre.

To do this, the participants themselves become ‘tokens’: the small building blocks that AI systems use for calculations.

Through movements, responses and positioning within the space, a learning system emerges. Step inside Interrobang’s black box and experience how machine logic connects, isolates or transforms us.
