Funky Explosion Berlin – The legendary AFN funk, soul and disco party with DJ Baade at the LOCI LOFT

FUNKY EXPLOSION marks the return of the unmistakable sound of the American radio station AFN, which shaped generations of music lovers and had a lasting influence on Berlin’s club culture.

DJ Baade, known from legendary Berlin clubs such as Pal Joe and La Belle, will be behind the decks. With his extraordinary vinyl collection, he’ll be playing the greatest funk, soul and disco classics from 1975 to 1985.

Look forward to rousing grooves from Earth, Wind & Fire, Chic, Kool & the Gang, Cameo, The Emotions and Funkadelic.

This musical journey through time is complemented by early electro and hip-hop classics from Grandmaster Flash, Whodini and Newcleus.

A particular highlight is original recordings of legendary AFN radio presenters, which bring the spirit of West Berlin at that time back to life.
