Trio Tihai is a Berlin-based ensemble specialising in acoustic world music – born out of the city’s musical melting pot. Three musicians from different backgrounds come together here: Claus Rückbeil on the Indian bansuri flute, Marko Jovanović on the harmonica and Lutz Schlosser on guitar, in a style inspired by Jimi Hendrix.

Together, they blend the Indian raga tradition, Balkan melodies and gypsy jazz with elements of blues, folk, tango and reggae.
Their repertoire includes original compositions as well as rarely performed pieces from various musical traditions.
Through their interplay, they develop their music in the moment. Improvisation is central to this: the pieces emerge organically and weave diverse influences into a distinctive, improvisation-driven sound that creates an immediate impact through its intensity and atmospheric depth.
Trio Tihai embodies a style of music that unfolds between rhythmic energy and narrative openness, taking on a new form at every concert.
The trio will present its debut album as part of its CD release concert.
