Hubert and Huschl live in the arbour behind the house. They do everything together: cook, eat, go to bed, wake up, play games, sing songs, and play the piano four-handed.

One day, as they watch the human family return from holiday to their house and be welcomed home by their grandparents, they decide they’d like to go their separate ways for a while, too, to experience the joy of being reunited.
Directed by Jacob Meinecke, the production uses a great deal of improvisational artistry and live-generated radio play sounds to create a playful exploration of the profound emotion of longing and the value of shared adventures.
The audience is actively involved in the production, helping to guess what’s coming next, contributing to the soundscape themselves, and experiencing first-hand how they help shape the course of the story.
