Artist profile:
Allison first encountered a magician at the age of eight – and that was the end of her normal childhood. From then on, instead of dolls or football, she was fascinated by card tricks, magic sets and books on illusions. What began as a child’s fascination quickly turned into a genuine passion – at 15, she won her first prize in the comedy magic category.
After finishing school, she went on to study drama – after all, you need a Plan B in case magic turns out to be nothing more than a trick. But it soon became clear: magic is and always will be her great love, and the stage her home. And her drama studies? The perfect trump card that still helps her today to pull the best stories and tricks out of her hat – without any false bottoms.
