Cathrin Pfeifer’s ‘upside down’ CD release concert

Her latest CD, ‘upside down’, impressively demonstrates just how exciting, modern and moving accordion music can sound today.

In her multifaceted, experimental compositions, C.P. opens up soundscapes spanning neoclassical, imaginary folklore, minimal music, avant-garde, atmospheric soundscapes and rousing grooves.

Using looping techniques and an exceptionally creative playing style, she adds new dimensions to her music and creates multi-layered soundscapes – at times poetic and delicate, at others powerful and energetic.

She has developed a sound all of her own, one that turns even the most stubborn accordion sceptics into fans, and which is influenced as much by her classical accordion training and her numerous travels and world tours across four continents as by her work across a wide variety of genres and with a diverse range of musicians.
