Family can be hell, especially in the Brewster family. Behind the endearing façade of the two charming old ladies, Abby and Martha, lies a murderous secret. When their nephew Mortimer, a frustrated theatre critic, discovers the truth, his already turbulent life is thrown into complete disarray.

Joseph Kesselring’s *Arsenic and Old Lace* is a classic of black humour:
wonderfully macabre, fast-paced and full of quirky characters. The arsenic is less frightening than the charming ladies who serve it.
