Film Restored
AI technology is developing at an ever-faster and extremely dynamic pace. From the perspective of film archives, it may seem both too early and too late to engage systematically with the latest developments – both their risks and their opportunities. This can often give the impression of isolation or passivity.
How can film archives not only keep pace with these developments but also actively shape them – and thereby influence how film heritage is preserved, made accessible and understood in the future?
This event marks the start of a learning initiative for professionals, bringing archivists together to jointly explore and respond to AI developments in the sector.
This is not a panel discussion, but a working session – an initial practice-oriented exploration of the questions and challenges facing archives. The aim is to create a space in which the future can be shaped.
