Classical Music in Grünau: ‘From Mozart to Beethoven — A Piano Recital Full of Passion’ with Ulugbek Palvanov

The Uzbekistan-born pianist Ulugbek Palvanov is one of the most outstanding piano talents of his generation and has enchanted audiences with his playing in concert halls across Europe and beyond.

Ulugbek Palvanov’s international career began with victories in numerous national and international competitions, including the International Piano Competitions in Bishkek, Porto, Bolzano and Tbilisi, the Steinway Competition and the Arthur Schnabel Piano Competition at the Berlin University of the Arts.

As a soloist, Palvanov has performed in leading concert halls around the world. He has collaborated with, amongst others, the Moscow Symphony Orchestra, the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the Bolzano Chamber Orchestra and the Georgian Philharmonic Orchestra.

Since 2014, Ulugbek Palvanov has also been the artistic director of the ‘Pianowerke’ concert series in Wandlitz.

Alongside works by Mozart, Schubert and Chopin, Ulugbek Palvanov will perform Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 in C minor, Op. 67, in Franz Liszt’s rarely heard piano transcription at today’s concert.

The work, also known as the ‘Fate Symphony’, demands a very high level of technical mastery and power at the piano.
