Romanticism meets modernity: The ‘Trio Allegra’, comprising Francisco Soutinho Ventura (bassoon), Yuki Inagawa (piano) and Sabina Matthus-Bebie (clarinet), will perform an exciting blend of Romantic and early 20th-century music on German Unity Day.
The programme features works by Max Bruch (Eight Pieces), Nino Rota (Trio) and Mikhail Glinka (Trio Pathétique), as well as a very special duo: the Sonata for Clarinet and Bassoon by Francis Poulenc.
The ensemble, comprising clarinet, bassoon and piano, creates a varied listening experience through its use of contrasts.
