A practical workshop on light for Deaf, hard-of-hearing and hearing people
Are you interested in light, shadow and the stories they tell? In the theatre and elsewhere? You’ll experiment with lamps, illuminating rooms, objects and one another.
They play with light and shadow, rhythm and movement. They learn how to set up lamps, adjust the focus and create atmospheric lighting. The workshop leaders are Jiayi Wu, a deaf performer, and Claire Terrien, a hearing lighting designer.
There will be communication support, plenty of practical group work, breaks and snacks. The workshop will be conducted in DGS and DLS (German sign language).
- The workshop takes place on Saturday 26 September and Sunday 27 September from 10.00 to 16.30.
- Please register online.
