The PROJEKTE art and culture space presents Antoanetta Marinov with her performance “I’d Like to Get Married in Venice, Too—With Your Support.”

The artist Antoanetta Marinov begins at the PROJEKTE space, located at Florastraße 90 in Pankow, and makes her way through the city streets, stopping at several locations (Alexanderplatz, Rotes Rathaus, etc.).

She will be wearing parts of a wedding dress and carrying a box with the title of the performance written on it. The artist will directly ask passersby for support to help her fulfill her wish.

Photos and videos of the event will subsequently be exhibited at PROJEKTE.

The performance serves as preparation for the artist’s “Bride Walk!” event, which will take place in Venice in October.

The artist’s work was created in 2021 as a personal, collective, life-affirming ritual. With the walk in September, the artist aims to highlight that the (artistic) “yes” to life and to art requires attention, care, and support from the community in which it takes place.
