Is it all just a trick? Or is there more to it than that? Two friends have been arguing about this question for years. One insists he can read minds. The other swears that’s nothing but nonsense. Tonight, the two will finally settle their long-standing dispute where it belongs: in front of an audience.

The mind reader is convinced that our world holds more mysteries than we can explain through reason alone. For the skeptic, there’s an explanation for every miracle—even if he may still have to find it; and in his eyes, every mind reader needs a suspiciously large amount of equipment anyway.
What follows is a exchange—as astonishing as it is entertaining—between wonder and doubt, assertion and proof, gut feeling and common sense: Every experiment becomes a point of contention, every argument a setup for the next contradiction.
But the longer the evening goes on, the harder it becomes even for the audience to make up their minds: Is it all just a masterfully staged illusion? Or are there truly things between heaven and earth that defy our imagination?
