Berlinathon 2026: Grand Finale at Tempelhofer Feld

To wrap up the season, the Berlinathon invites all running enthusiasts, along with their families and friends, to a special summer event. There will be various race distances, a colorful program of activities, raffles, and plenty of opportunities to meet new people.

The Berlinathon is more than just a traditional running event. The focus isn’t on personal bests or intense competition, but on exercise, community, and experiencing Berlin together.

It is precisely this concept that has defined the first eight runs of the season: Since April, hundreds of runners have participated in the “Kulturläufe” (cultural runs) featuring art, theater, food, and music, as well as in the “Kiez-Runs” through Prenzlauer Berg, Kreuzberg/Neukölln, Schöneberg, and Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf. Together, participants discovered Berlin’s cultural landmarks, shared their favorite spots, and experienced the city from ever-changing perspectives.

The Grand Finale: Berlinathon at Tempelhofer Feld

The finale promises to be something special: At Tempelhofer Feld, participants can choose from various distances. Runs of 3, 7, 11, 21, and 30 kilometers are offered, ensuring that both beginners and those who want to tackle a longer distance to wrap up the season—or use it as a training run for the Berlin Marathon—will find something to suit them.

Whether in a running shirt, a colorful outfit, or a costume—anything goes at the Berlinathon. Anyone who wants to can line up at the starting line in costume and add some extra color to the course.

Even the youngest Berlinathon fans are invited. There’s a special 420-meter course just for kids. Children under 16 can participate for free, provided a parent is registered for the main event.

The Berlinathon remains true to its core philosophy: it’s about running together, not about competition. The various distances can be run at your own pace and offer the opportunity to actively wrap up the summer at Tempelhofer Feld without any pressure to perform.

Summer, Community, & a Colorful Program

A varied program awaits participants even off the running routes. At the Neulich beer garden, runners and visitors can gather after the run, enjoy the summer, and wrap up the Berlinathon together.

There will be great raffles with special prizes, ranging from theater tickets to a barista course or a dinner voucher for a Michelin-starred restaurant. And, of course, participants will also receive a Berlinathon medal as a memento of this shared end-of-season celebration.

This makes the finale not only a sporting highlight but also a major community event for everyone who loves to discover Berlin on foot and experience it together.

Eight runs, countless Berlin stories—and now the finale!

The past few months have shown just how diverse Berlin is: From art and theater to culinary discoveries and music, all the way to the personal favorite spots in Berlin’s neighborhoods, the 2026 Berlinathon season took participants through a wide variety of facets of the city.

With the finale at Tempelhofer Feld, the entire community will come together once again. What began in April with the “Kunst” cultural run will come to a collective conclusion on August 30.
