On September 4, 2026, performers from over 20 troupes will come together at the Berlin Impro Marathon to perform for nine hours across five stages. Under the motto “Diversity, Encounter, and Imagination,” this grand gathering will unite everyone through the art of improvisation.
The Berlin Impro Marathon—BIM for short—stands for diversity, connection, and imagination. It also offers a huge dose of fun, laughter, and entertainment for both the audience and the performers!
Nine hours of non-stop improvisational theater, performed by 40 performers from around 20 different Berlin improv groups in many languages on multiple stages—and this marks the tenth edition of the event.
For the first time, the Berlin Impro Marathon will take place at the Brotfabrik on Caligariplatz (Berlin-Weißensee) and at BühnenRausch (Erich-Weinert-Straße 27, Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg). Both venues are about a 15-minute walk from each other.
You’re invited to one of Europe’s largest one-day improv festivals on Friday, September 4, 2026, featuring nine hours of non-stop improv starting at 7 p.m.
On the main stage at the Brotfabrik, there will be a nine-hour improv match.
