On September 5 and 6, 2026, the Berlin Botanical Garden will once again become a gathering place for gardening enthusiasts and plant lovers. At the traditional Fall Perennial Market, select nurseries from Germany and neighboring countries will present a wide variety of perennials, woody plants, ornamental grasses, flower bulbs, and rare plant varieties.

September is the ideal time for planting: perennials and woody plants can take root well before winter, while spring onions, winter vegetables, and biennial flowers also go on sale. This year’s special focus is on fuchsias, which are experiencing a renaissance thanks to their extraordinary blooms and new, partially hardy varieties.
In addition to plants, there will be information on nature conservation and environmental protection, seeds, and biodiversity, as well as tips on providing winter shelters for native animals. Numerous food and beverage stands will offer refreshments to keep you energized during your visit to the market.
A lovely outing for anyone who wants to discover special plants, prepare their own garden, or simply stroll through the Botanical Garden’s autumnal landscape.
