As a new ratings magnet, the show “The Rehberg Doctor” is meant to boost the fame and glory of “Rundfunk Berlin Wedding.” This plunges rival “Wedding TV” into a crisis. Even Ms. Keludowig, once a guaranteed ratings draw, fears for her future!
Right in the middle of the battle between the local media giants, two well-known Wedding residents find themselves caught up in the fray. After local taxi magnate Anneliese Pfeiffer suffers a fainting spell, she and detective intern Moni accidentally end up on the set of “Der Rehbergdoktor.” And since the actress playing the female lead has just dropped out, Pfeiffer steps in without hesitation and saves the day—as the patient opposite none other than master physician actor Hank Steagle. He’s so happy about this that, in return, he joins Pfeiffer’s investigative team, which is still searching for Moni’s missing boss, Günther Fisch. According to the latest findings, he is the only remaining scion of a family in the passenger transport business and is actually set to inherit his mother Anneliese’s fortune. As previously hinted, this very circumstance may have been his undoing.
But when Ms. Keludowig comes forward with a background story—complete with strangely detailed information about his whereabouts—the suspicion takes on more and more substance.
