Singer Alex Alvarez—after whom the band was actually named as a joke—met Garret Orseno (bass), John Luther (guitar), and Jonny Ransom (drums) while skateboarding in Los Angeles in 2018, and they quickly formed a band. Influenced by bands like The Clash and inspired by the garage and punk revival, the four began blending their very own mix of garage rock, dance-punk, and indie, which they first presented in 2021 on their debut EP, “Angsty Teen.”
