Get Creative in the Garden

As a city dweller, do you sometimes forget that you’re part of nature? The world around us influences the human brain and spirit. Everyday urban life can be too rushed, cramped, loud, dirty, or lonely. People thrive better in the diversity of nature. At the same time, many species are quietly disappearing from the world.

The well-being of the world is in danger. Yet the moss continues to tell the story of water. It protects the pine seed from drying out. The seedling grows into a tree. Join us on a stroll through the “Großer Garten” and experience the habitats of our Earth, from the moor to the forest.

“Großer Garten, How Are You?” is not a botanical tour, but rather an exploration of the connection between the health of this planet and our own well-being. As participants focus their attention on the (first) plants, they can experience these interrelationships,

- through a mental immersion in the plant world,

- while walking,

- as they individually explore plants as living beings,

- in moments of silence and awareness,

- and through open dialogue among participants.

For anyone curious about ecology, the art of mindfulness, and the soothing effects of (urban) nature.

Sturdy shoes and weather-appropriate clothing are recommended. No prior knowledge is required. A love of deep breathing and an openness to observing your own perceptions are welcome.
